AANE’s Autism Professional Coaching Association (APCA) is pleased to announce the lastest in its skill building series for APCA members: LifeMAP Roundtable Discussion. Join us for a dynamic roundtable discussion including hot topics, tips, strategies, and mistakes to avoid when coaching Autistic and similarly neurodivergent individuals.
Speakers
Nataliya Poto, MA, is the Director of the Autism Professional Coaching Association (APCA) and of LifeMAP Coaching Programs at the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE). She began as an intern at AANE back in 2008 and her first project was to develop and evaluate LifeMAP coaching program. Over the last 12 years, the LifeMAP program has served more than 2,600 clients. As a LifeMAP Coach, Mrs. Poto successfully assists clients with their goals in the areas of higher education, career development, personal growth, relationship-building, independent living and more. She and her team also conceptualized LifeMAP’s unique coaching approaches into the IACT curriculum, a Certification program offered annually at AANE as well the APCA. Prior to joining AANE, Mrs. Poto taught Psychology at UMASS Lowell and conducted applied research evaluating work and music intervention programs for Autistic youth. She is the co-author of several research articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Her research has been presented at national and international conferences. A native of Ukraine, Mrs. Poto for the last 15 years has been residing in Northern MA with her husband and her son. Mrs. Poto enjoys traveling, skiing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Nicole Kloss, OTD, OTR/L is the LifeMAP coach supervisor at AANE. Nicole started working with AANE as a LifeMAP coach while pursuing her Doctorate in occupational therapy from Western New England University. As part of her doctoral research, she developed an intercultural learning program to enhance cultural awareness among members of a non-profit organization working abroad via a telehealth model. Nicole is a licensed occupational therapist with a background in skilled rehabilitation, public education, recreational therapy, and project management. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys crafting, being with nature, and spending time with her family.
Jessica Cohen is the Associate Director of LifeMAP at the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE), as well as a LifeMAP coach. Jessica obtained her B.S.B.A. from Boston University School of Management and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and has been a practicing attorney and small business owner since 1997. As a coach, Jessica enjoys working with a variety of clients on goals related to executive functioning, social confidence, self-determination, and self-advocacy. Outside of AANE, Jessica continues to advise families on special education related matters, and regularly presents community workshops for the Federation for Children With Special Needs.
