Description

Coaches working with neurodiverse older teens and adults often feel effective with their clients while feeling unsure of how to interact with clients’ parents. In this workshop we will examine the causes of common parent behaviors and consider issues that often arise when working with parents. We will explore effective strategies for validating parent concerns and experiences while maintaining healthy boundaries that promote client growth in self-determination and self-advocacy.

Speaker

Jessica Cohen, JD, is the Associate Director of LifeMAP at the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE), as well as a LifeMAP coach.
