Description
A candid look at navigating today’s competitive job market, including Anthony’s personal experience as a recent graduate, from making it to a final round Superday at Oracle, only to face a company-wide hiring freeze, to accepting a backup offer, and ultimately landing his dream role as an Associate Consultant at Oracle a few months later. While this is his personal journey, many of the strategies, tools, and mindset shifts Anthony found helpful, particularly around structure, clear communication, networking, exploring resources, and managing uncertainty may resonate with neurodivergent job seekers navigating similar challenges. Anthony will share what worked, what didn’t, and what he would do differently, alongside sharing resources that are valuable for neurodivergent job seekers in this current day and age.
Speaker:
Anthony Poto is an incoming Associate Consultant at Oracle, starting in Nashville, TN this September. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Baylor University and is currently completing his M.S. in Applied Analytics at Boston College. Anthony’s path to Oracle included persistence through a company-wide hiring freeze, an accepted offer with a national transportation company, and ultimately a return to his top choice once Oracle resumed hiring. He is passionate about the intersection of technology, finance, and consulting, and enjoys sharing practical insight from his own job search experience. Outside of work, Anthony enjoys personal fitness, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
