AANE Webinar: Embracing Neurodiversity: AuDHD as a Unique Neurotype, 4/2/24, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM ET

Maggie Bowlby M.Ed, is a Senior Manager of Individual & Family Services and a LifeMAP Coach at AANE, and has been with the organization since 2020.  At AANE, Maggie manages and facilitates support groups and workshops, provides 1:1 coaching to Autistic adults, and meets with families to support their understanding of the IEP process. Prior to joining the AANE Staff, Maggie spent 8 years as a Special Educator in Massachusetts. Maggie is committed to amplifying Autistic voices and incorporating an understanding of a variety of Autistic perspectives into her practice as she serves Autistic people, their families, and other professionals in the field.

Jay Eveson-Egler is an Autistic self-advocate and current program manager with AANE. They’ve worked with neurodiversity based organizations in a variety of roles, including a 1:1 companion, teacher, recruiter, and administrative assistant. Jay’s primary interests lie in assisting Autistic individuals with transition into post-secondary educational settings, supporting Autistic peer-to-peer interactions, and understanding LBGTQ+ issues, and their intersections with autism. They have prior experience founding and facilitating neurodiverse peer support groups at both Holyoke College and Mount Holyoke College and remain active as an adviser with the Neurodiverse Students Association at Mount Holyoke, where they graduated with their bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education in 2020.

AANE recognizes that fees for this program have changed. AANE can offer participants reduced or free program registration. As long as space remains in the group, no one requesting financial aid will be turned away. To request financial aid, send an email to [email protected]. For example:

If you are able, please consider donating the cost of an additional registration to support the financial assistance of others.

All groups are online unless noted

Multi-Session – register once for multiple sessions with the same participants in groups or workshops

Single Session – register for one session or event, includes groups, webinars, workshops, or special events

Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission, ask an individual participant to leave, or remove participants from the event/program for inappropriate or disrespectful behavior.
