At Indiana University, the CARAFE lab (Counseling, Advocacy, and Research on the Autistic Female Experience) will be conducting a study titled, “Self-Narratives about Healthy Living: Perceptions from the ASD Population.” This study represents a step toward a more inclusive understanding of health and well-being, driven by the lived experiences of autistic adults themselves.
The purpose of this study is to define and better understand healthy living and wellness from the perspective of autistic adults. Through identifying the potential strategies and barriers, as well as personal, social, and environmental influences, the research aims to provide insight into healthy living and wellness based on the needs and lived experiences of autistic adults.
The research team is reaching out requesting participation from autistic adults, hoping you will share this study opportunity with members from the autism community. This study will consist of a 30- to 60-minute Zoom interview, with participants meeting the following eligibility criteria:
Adults aged 18 years and older
Score above the cutoff on the AQ-10

Can independently provide consent to engage in the study
This study has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board.
