Research Study Description

One of the most effective interventions for speech delays is Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), or speech aids. However, there is also a lot we do not know about these devices. For example, there are questions as to how accessible they are and factors that may increase or decrease their effectiveness in improving communication. My goal is to gain information on frequency of use of speech aids, professional support with these devices, barriers to use and family reports of satisfaction. If you are a parent/caregiver of an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder who uses speech aids and is between the ages of 10-22 years old, please participate in the attached 15 minute survey. Thank you so much for your time.
