Caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder often sacrifice there health an wellbeing to care for their children. Caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder can have a diminished quality of life, face a number of parental stressors, and can experience a number of emotions, such as grief, depression, and burnout.
I am Shalonda and I am conducting research to explore the lived experiences of caregivers of minor children with ASD to better understand the factors that influence the quality of care that they provide. The purpose of this research study is to understand the experiences of caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the eastern United States in an effort to reveal the meaning of their lived caregiving experiences, which may resonate with other caregivers of children with ASD. The findings of the study may be able to bolster and strengthen resources and support for caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
My goal is to amplify the voices of caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder. Your voice matters. Your journey matters. Your story matters. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Please share with other caregivers that you may know.
