Research Study Description

We at the Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health Laboratory at York University in Toronto, Canada are conducting a study on maladaptive daydreaming and dissociation in neurodivergent adults aged 18 and older. To our knowledge, this is one of the first studies examining maladaptive daydreaming and dissociation this comprehensively in autistic adults and individuals with ADHD.

Participation is anonymous and involves completing an online questionnaire that takes approximately 30 minutes. Formal diagnoses are not required, and self-identification as autistic and/or having ADHD is enough to participate. This study has received ethics approval from the Human Participants Review Sub Committee at York University.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Dr. Larissa Panetta at [email protected] to receive the questionnaire link. Thank you for your time and consideration.
