Research Study Description

ATTENTION: Workers who self-identify as autistic or have received a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), OR Asperger Syndrome, OR Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS): I am conducting research as part of the requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how workers feel they fit with their job, their work environment, how supported they feel about their organization, and how satisfied they are with their jobs. It also aims to find out whether feeling supported by their work organization affects workplace fit and job satisfaction.

To participate, you must be 18 years old or older, self-identify as autistic or have received a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or Asperger Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), and employed for pay in the United States at least 10 hours per week. Participants who are not paid for their work (such as interns or volunteers), or who are self-employed/owners of the company, are not eligible to participate. Participants will be asked to complete an anonymous, online survey, which should take no more than 15 minutes. If you are interested and eligible, click the link provided at the end of this post to complete the eligibility survey. If you qualify for my study, you will be direct to the study survey. An information sheet is provided as the first page of the survey. After you have read the information sheet, please click the button to proceed to the survey. Doing so will indicate that you have read the information and would like to take part in the study.

This study has been approved as exempt by the Liberty University Institutional Review Board (IRB Exemption -IRB-FY25-26-2034).
