Description

We are very excited to offer this workshop as a part of a series focused on Employment for Autistic adults, led by Sam Warner. These are discrete workshops so you are welcome to attend one or more but you will need to sign up for each individually. These workshops are for Autistic adults. They are best suited for someone who is currently working or considering working in an office environment but that is not a requirement to attend. Please note: each workshop will be recorded and made available on our Vimeo page after the event. The workshops are designed to be interactive and you are welcome to leave your camera off and/or just use the chat for confidentiality and other purposes.

Do you know what you want to say at work, then lose the words when you’re put on the spot?

Many neurodivergent adults have strong ideas but struggle with fast meetings, vague questions, and the pressure to respond instantly. This practical 60-minute webinar explores communication differences at work and gives you clear structures for presenting ideas and asking for what you need without over-explaining or freezing. This is not a session about slide decks or public speaking. It’s about thinking clearly out loud, buying yourself time, and being understood in real workplace conversations.

No pressure to speak. Designed for mixed neurotypes and ability levels.

You will learn how to:

  • Understand why you get tongue-tied when put on the spot
  • Use safe pause phrases without sounding unsure
  • Structure spoken business cases in under a minute
  • Share ideas clearly without over-explaining
  • Ask for support, clarity, and resources with confidence
  • Protect your ideas in meetings and reduce interruptions
  • Communicate impact rather than emotion
  • Leave conversations thinking “I said what I needed to say”
