Research Study Description

The purpose of this study is to understand how autistic young adults’ social and group experiences shape their mental health and well-being. We are especially interested in the experiences of autistic young adults who are rarely represented in autism research, including women, non-binary, sexual minority, and racial minority groups.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete multiple online surveys that should take about 45 minutes. These surveys will ask about your social experiences, identity, mental health, and well-being. This is a longitudinal study, so we’ll reach out to you again in 6 months to complete similar online surveys. You will receive a $25 e-gift card for completing the first set of surveys. You will receive an additional $35 e-gift card if you also complete the surveys in the 6-month follow-up. For questions, please get in touch with the research team at [email protected].

You may be eligible to participate in ASCEND if you have been diagnosed with autism or self-identify as autistic, and you are 18-25 years old.
