Research Study Description

Extremely hot or cold weather can be a hazard to health, especially without proper planning. Watertown is among communities whose health departments are preparing to keep community members safe and healthy during these extreme temperature events. A one-hour meeting is being planned to learn the best strategies to support those with Autism and Neurodiversity. This focus group will be with 6 to 12 Life Coaches and/or Neurodivergent individuals. We want to learn what can help during an emergency. What are useful resources and protective measures? How to best reach individuals living in varying circumstances?

We would be happy to hold the group discussion in person or virtually, such as by Zoom, and would like to offer the participants a stipend in appreciation. Please reach out to [email protected] 617-482-9485.

The work is supported by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health with funding from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
