Research Study Description

Hello! We are Drs. Meredith Maroney and Mollie Ruben. We are psychologists with expertise in LGBTQ+ mental health, autism, and healthcare. We have obtained funding to conduct a study on mental health provider knowledge and training in working with transgender, nonbinary, gender diverse (TNG) Autistic individuals. We are currently accepting applications for TNG adults who have an interest in serving on a Community Advisory Board (CAB) for one year. CAB members will participate in five meetings across a one-year period during which they will provide feedback and contribute to the co-creation of research questions, results from focus groups, and plans for disseminating knowledge. CAB members will receive $375 ($75/meeting) to compensate for time and expertise. Findings from this study will be used to inform ongoing research and to develop trainings for mental health providers to best support TNG Autistic people.
