Online “Closed” 2-Part Workshop – Social Participation for Adults, 12/4/23 + 12/11/23, 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET
Part 1: Brainstorming and identifying different ways to connect with others and maintain connections with others.
Part 2: Debriefing session to discuss how it felt to implement concepts from last week’s topic, social participation, into your life. Come to share your experience and learn from others!
AANE Adult Support Groups, Social Groups, and events are intended for post-high school adults on the spectrum who are able to self-regulate AND independently participate in activities without the assistance of a dedicated caretaker.
Advanced registration is required. After you have registered, a confirmation email is sent with a link to attend the program. Registrants who do not receive the confirmation email should check their email spam folder. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event. Early registration is highly recommended as many programs fill quickly.
AANE recognizes that fees for this program have changed. AANE can offer participants reduced or free program registration. As long as space remains in the group, no one requesting financial aid will be turned away. To request financial aid, send an email to email@example.com. For example:
I would like to request financial assistance for (insert full title of group).
Sincerely, (your name).
If you are able, please consider donating the cost of an additional registration to support the financial assistance of others.
Event & Group Information
All groups are online unless noted
Multi-Session – register once for multiple sessions, includes “Closed” groups which have the same participants for a set number of sessions
Single Session – register for one session or event, includes “Open” groups which may have different participants joining from session to session, webinars, workshops, or special events
LOCAL [City, State] in front of the event/group name is intended for those living in the vicinity of the indicated area. If LOCAL is not indicated, the event is available to those living anywhere
Codes of Conduct
Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission, ask an individual participant to leave, or remove participants from the event/program for inappropriate or disrespectful behavior.
