Research Study Description

To the attention of SLPs,

My name is Shams Verdiyeva and I am a MS student in Language and Communication Impairments in Children at the University of Sheffield. For my MS dissertation research project, I am conducting a survey among SLPs working in the United States. Through my research project, I hope to learn more about the prevalence of co-occurring autism and speech sound disorders (including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)), as well as current assessment and treatment procedures for this population.

If you decide to participate in my survey project, you will be asked to complete a survey in the Google Forms which will ask you questions on assessment and treatment practices of speech sound disorders (including Childhood Apraxia of Speech) in children with autism. The survey is anonymous and will take about 20 minutes to complete. I appreciate your valuable time to complete this survey.

Please see link below to direct you to the survey. Please complete the survey by March 31st, 2023. Thank you very much, in advance, for your time and support by agreeing to participate in my dissertation project.

Sincerely,
Shams Verdiyeva
MS Student, Language and Communication Impairments in Children The University of Sheffield
