Research Study Description

Tufts University and the Crehan Lab are seeking 18-35 year-olds with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to participate in a new study about. The goal of the study is to work together with autistic adults to develop better ways to measure the specific skills needed for safe sexual health and dating.

Participation will include an initial screening call (30 minutes). If eligible, you will be asked to participate in three visits. At the first visit, thinking skills, language ability, and current behaviors related to ASD will be observed in order to confirm eligibility. Questionnaires will also be completed at the first visit. A second and third visit will consist of surveys, computer assessments of social skills and computer assessments that use eye tracking technology to collect data. In person visits will scheduled at your convenience and last up to 2 hours.

The inclusion criteria for the study is:
-Age 18-35 years.
-Verbally fluent in English (can respond to open ended questions and understand study procedures to provide assent).
-Has an existing clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder OR a diagnosis of borderline intellectual disability, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, or depression.
