My name is Jessica Chelsky, MA, and I am currently a clinical psychology doctoral student at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. I am conducting a dissertation study on the experience of considering trauma during psychotherapy with child clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This study will address clinicians’ current assessment and treatment considerations regarding trauma with a vulnerable population. The study will consist of a 60-90 minute individual interview over the HIPPA compliant version of Zoom. As a thank you, each participant will receive a $20 Amazon gift card after completing the interview.
To be eligible for this study you:
– Must have provided psychotherapy within the past 10 years to at least one child client under the age of 13 who had a professional diagnosis of ASD and had experienced a traumatic event(s)
– Must have been licensed while providing psychotherapy with this client
– Have access to reliable internet for a 60-90 minute Zoom interview
