Research Study Description

This project uses what we learned in our autism and skilled employment pilot study about what successful employment meant to autistic people. The goal is to adapt and test surveys that measure the things people said meant successful employment to them. The measures can then be used to evaluate employment services or workplace settings. It aims to 1) adapt a set of employment outcome instruments to measure work-related self-efficacy, work-related self-esteem, workplace acceptance, sense of community at work, work-life balance, and mental health management; 2) test the instruments, as well as a global employment satisfaction instrument, to see how well they work to measure the ideas.
